A Literary Festival, also known as Book Festival or Writers Festival is a regular gathering of Writers and Readers, typically on an annual basis in a particular city. A Literary festival usually features a variety of presentations and reading by Authors as well as other events delivered over a period of several days with the primary objective of promoting the authors books and fostering a love of literature and writings.

Literature is written words, especially those considered as superior or lasting artistic merit . Literature, a body of written works. The name has traditionally being applied to those imaginative works of Poetry and process distinguished by the intentions of their authors and the perceived aesthetic excellence of their execution. Literature may be classified according to the variety of systems, including language, national origin, historic period , genre and subject matter . As per Websters Collegiaste Dictionary, a literature is defined to be “ writings having excellence of from or expression and expressing ideas permanent or universal interest“. Deriving from the Latin “Littera” “a letter of the alphabet” literature is fast and foremost human kinds entire body of writing . After that it is the body of writings belonging to a given language or people. Then it is individual prices of writing. The art of literature is not reduce able to the words on the body. They are there solely because of the craft of writing. The literature also functions more broadly in society as a means of both criticizing and affirming cultural values.

Language is the method of human communication either spoken or written consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way .Language is the system of communication used by particular country or community. Language is the normal way of human communication. Only humans use language though many other animals communicate in various ways. Human languages has syntax, a set of rules for connecting words together to make statements and language.

Language spoken in India belong to several families, the major ones being the Indo-Aryan language spoken by 75% of Indians and the Dravidian language spoken by 20% of Indians . Other language belong to the Austro Asiatic , Sino-Tibetan and other isolates. According to the Census of India 2001, India has 122 major language and 1599 other languages, Republic of India has 22 officially recognized languages.
